Share with us a little about what you do.
My name is Fiona Bennett and I am a mother, wife, Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist. Originally from Australia, I have called Singapore home for the last 9.5 years. When I am not running around like a headless chicken with school and kids and managing a household, I have a bit more of a glamorous life making people look beautiful through wedding makeup to events and also working with my celebrity clients.

What are your days like as an entrepreneur?
Every day and every week is so varied. But my day starts at 6.45am and I do school drop off at 7.30am to 8.30am and I then head to the gym. Other days, I can be up at 5am for a shoot or a wedding. In theory, I should be doing admin (my most hated thing to do!) or sometimes I have appointments with my clients. Some afternoons I do after school activities with the boys and then I either catch up with friends for a glass of wine or go for an afternoon walk. Then it’s dinner and I’ll put the boys to bed at 7.30pm and I’ll start my wind down routine from 10pm.

Is there a particular talent or strength you had that helped you in your life and/or business?
I don’t know whether it’s a talent but I am great at spotting out detail! I believe that has made me a great makeup artist. A great makeover is all about lots and lots of perfect details.

What is your personal legend?
To use my Artistry to make people feel good on the outside as they do on the inside. There is great satisfaction in the gratitude I feel when they first look at themselves up close. Also last but not least is of course to love my children and husband with unconditional love.

What is the one piece of advice you would have for young women when it comes to beauty?
Being comfortable in your skin is accepting all your flaws as perfection. It takes time! And the only person who ever cared about those flaws was yourself.

What do you like about L/Chemy?
I love the simplicity of the range. From the packaging to the ingredients. Life is complicated enough, we don’t need to over complicate it with our skincare too.

What is the L/Chemy product that you can’t do without? Why do you like it?
Happy Outdoors - the broad spectrum sunscreen SPF 30. Eve, the Creator of L/Chemy, introduced this to me when I broke out in a reaction to another sunscreen and I’m very particular as I break out with pimples very easily. This is now my favourite sunscreen. It’s very hydrating, not sticky at all and sits well underneath makeup. I love it!
